Once again Roal Electronics was a significant presence at this year’s Electronica show, Europe’s most important fair, held every two years in Munich. Despite the fact that this year, with the market going through a bad period, there was an evident and understandable decrease in both visitors and exhibitors (official sources report a fall of about 40% in the number of visitors) the Roal stand saw a move in the opposite direction: compared to two years ago, visitors were up by 25%, including many new extremely important contacts. The stand’s striking use of colour and intriguing shape – it was designed with typical flair by Elica Group architect Riccardo Diotallevi – led to a cascade of compliments from the visitors and also from the staff of the Bavarian fair organisers. The latter made it clear that they considered it not only the best stand in the pavilion but also one of the best at the whole fair. Inside the exhibition area this year, Roal wanted not only to show their own products, but above all the main applications of these products: applications where the electronic control boards and power supplies are respectively the brain and the heart. This choice was made at this year’s fair because Roal didn’t want to show the products for their own sake, but to give a clear message in line with the concept “Passion” and Love for the customer. The idea was to extend the concept of Passion with the concept of “Heart”, showing that our passion for the customer is fully demonstrated in a product that represents the HEART of the application in which it is installed – and that’s where the “ROAL hearted” slogan comes from. The ROAL “heart” is present in the gigantic “IBM data storage” system, which has our powers Silvertip emerging from it, in the Barco Video Wall, in DeLaRue Bancomat, and in the Philips medical monitor.
