ELICA GROUP HAPPENING 2003

A festive “family” celebration – but what a family! There were over 2,400 people gathered together in Monsano’s Paradise Discotheque to wish each other a Merry Christmas at this year’s Elica Group Santa Lucia celebration: all employees and friends of the Marche company, invited by CEO Francesco Casoli for a dazzling evening of fun and entertainment. Providing the laughter was a group of comedians from Italy’s hit TV comedy show “Zelig”, including the hilarious “dance troupe” the Tutine and ironic, pungent stand-up performances from Leonardo Manera, Diego Parasole and Giovanni Cacioppo.

Beauty played an important part in the proceedings too, with the presence of Belgian hunk Burt, featured in Elica’s 2004 calendar, accompanied by two of the stunning female models who took part in the selection process for the calendar, the first “double face” production since Elica – ahead of the bandwagon as usual! – began the tradition five years ago. Surrounded by admirers of both sexes, the models signed autographs and posed for photos.

But Santa Lucia is also a time to assess the year that has almost come to an end, and if 2003 proved to be a difficult period for international business, the Elica Group was able to show that it knows how to ride the hard times, with a growth of 7% compared to the previous year – 25% of this increase being concentrated in the last three months. It’s a result which once again demonstrates the vitality and dynamism of a company which has seen great changes since the beginning of the Millennium, with its transformation into an industrial group, a new image and a new logo – also presented during the party. And this is the essential core of the company: a spirit of renewal surging constantly forwards on the strength of continuity.
