Elica with Sambonet at Macef

Amongst the main items to see at the autumn edition of the Macef fair, the international showroom for domestic and dining accessories that ran from 3rd – 6th September in Milan, were the David Lewis-designed Elica Kitchen units.

The Kitchen Units were featured by the Sambonet company, leading producer of kitchenware, cutlery and table items, on their company stand.

The two companies share a similar vision, united by their firm conviction that our quality of life can be improved by surrounding ourselves with objects that send out “good vibrations”: objects that are real sources of inspiration and harmony.

The stand, with the title “Babette’s Feast”, wanted to convey the concept of the kitchen as a laboratory of ideas, containing all the tools of the trade that a cook’s skills might require: an environment that is a pleasure to work in, well-organised, rational and supplied with the right instruments to cope with every possible culinary situation. In other words, exactly the type of environment the Kitchen Units were designed for.

Eye-catching in their silver version, the Cooking, Washing, Cooling and Storage Units became the focal point of the stand, a superb setting for the dynamic chef who, throughout the fair, kept visitors happily supplied with a selection of appetising delicacies.
