Elica Space launch into the orbit of silence

Do you ever have trouble listening to your favourite music in the kitchen when the cooker hood is working?  Well, that’s not something you will have to worry about any longer: bringing a new level of silence to decorative hoods, Elica’s patented innovative noise reduction system Elica Deep Silence (EDS³) now means that at low speeds you’ll barely hear the hood at all!

The difference made by the sound-absorbing performance of the new EDS³ system in comparison with the previous generation is like comparing a busy office environment with a library.  For the technically minded, at an airflow of 500 m3/h, for example, the maximum noise level is 45 db/A – a reduction of more than 35% compared to conventional hoods. This remarkable reduction in domestic noise pollution creates new possibilities for both the hood and the kitchen.

Heralded by a dynamic international advertising campaign, Space, the first product incorporating EDS³ technology, will be launched onto the European market in March, with a complete range for Elica and Elica Collection lines to follow.

EDS³ technology will then be licensed out to all the Elica Group’s industrial clients who are interested in including in their ranges products particularly efficient in terms of noise reduction.
