Luca Casini
Born in Bologna, Italy, Luca Casini graduates in Architecture in 1996 with a specialization in industrial design.
In 1997 he started his studio in Milano, where he collaborated with Claudio Monti for Technogym®, and with other remarkable designers developing projects in a multiplicity of different fields.
He deepened his first research on primary shapes developing a series of lighting projects for Dupont De Nemours®, a tableware collection with Theo Williams and perfume packaging for Atkinsons together with Bianco & Cucco.
He realized furniture and complements for private collections; a line of copybook for Atoma and cristal objects for Ritzenhoff.
In 1998 he founded with Jacob Pringiers the CASINI & PRINGIERS Associates industrial design studio, developing projects for fashin accessories, tableware, healthcare, ceramic and glass products, boats and electronics, working for companies as Luxottica®, WMF®, Riva®, Bic®,... and with other leading Companies in Europe and in the United States.
In 2000 he begins teaching in the Politecnico di Milano, Industrial Design University.
In 2002 Luca Casini oriented again his interest on furniture and home accessories with a new personal creative area dedicated to this specific field, parallel to the 'C.&P.A.' industrial design section. Recently he started new collaborations with Fiam-Italia, Olivari, Elica, Folle Denmark, Confalonieri and other leading Brands.
