MAKE THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE
Sometimes we feel that a place is already complete and untouchable, and that to impose the world's rhythms upon it would only lead to disaster. That is why our intervention should only be to make the invisible visible. To do this, we seek to discover which parts of the territory stimulate a precise sensorial aspect. We then employ all architecture's force to make this condition more powerful, isolating it from the rest of the territory
Our senses characterise the territory's conditions and select its features. Our architecture is created from the distances and positions of each of these fragments of landscape just as each built element will be detailed in its own geometry.
NATURAL ORDER
We sometimes wonder why a territory's chaos has such a stable and ordered appearance without being consciously organised. What is the natural rule that causes this near-sublime sensation?
Our architecture grows out of the landscape, as an answer to our way of perceiving and not to an a priori geometric or architectonic idea.
This is what we have faith in: the conviction that a organisational system determined in turn by one already organised naturally can also have the power to order an artificial programme without having to respond to prefixed schemes or organisational charts – the magic of architecture is halfway between static order and uncontrolled chaos.
EMPOWERING THE LANDSCAPE
To multiply the force of every fragment of territory, our architectonic systems seek to activate each of the sensorial properties considered in an independent manner: colour, touch, sound, smell, and mutability. In this way, architecture increases the power of what exists and will not therefore only be the organisation of a centripetal programme towards a corporation, but rather adds the richness of the surrounding countryside to the positive perception of a visitor towards its amphitryon.
