What’s “time”?

“My name is Isaac Newton: time is numbers.
My name is Eckart: time is One and Indivisible.
My name is Abraham: time is sacrifice.
My name is Karl Marx: time is work/goods/money.
My name is Ulysses: time is nostalgia.
My name is No-one: time is Ithaca.
My name is Descartes: time is reason.
My name is Parmenides: time is being.
My name is Heraclitus: time is becoming.
My name is Pascal: time is Time.
My name is Sigmund Freud: time is sex.
My name is Chronos: I am time.”

(Francois Jullien)

Since 2000 Elica has interpreted time through the uniquely personal vision of its calendars. With typical originality and individuality, for the first two years the company featured Elica personnel themselves as the models. The next three years were represented by calendars conceived using real models: employing glamour, professionalism and the sophisticated flair guaranteed by designer Michael Gottsche’s ironic stylishness, to present the companies in the Elica group and their products.
And also to remind us that “time exists to give us the chance to realise ourselves".
