At the 2011 edition of Imm Cologne, from 18 to 23 January, Elica will be present in the Gutmann stand, Gutmann being a high-end German brand belonging to the Group, in the new Living Kitchen hall, the platform for presenting kitchen furnishings that this year will run alongside the show for new products in the world of home interiors.
The presence of Elica at one of the most important events in Europe for the reference industry underlines the importance that the German market is taking on for the company. Cologne will see the presentation of the new kitchen hoods, an expression of constant attention and willingness to experiment, new trends and creativity in design and furnishing.
The latest creations are rich in elements that have been helping the Elica brand to stand out for years, making it a global player thanks to continuous research into design, starting from the high quality of materials chosen to energy savings.
It is the very concept of Less Energy that is expressed in the designs of Fabrizio Crisà who, in collaboration with the Elica Design Center, has created the new ICO, the most sustainable hood in the world, with perimeter extraction technology and clean-cut, linear shapes. VISUAL, the island hood that breaks the mould of traditional kitchen exhaust fans, is also highly efficient, encouraging the uptake of fumes and improving the performance of the appliance.
The new Galaxy and Bubble hoods, on the other hand, are part of the large chapter that the company devotes to the study of reducing dimensions in the kitchen. The two models (presented at FTK 2010) are in fact an expression of free gestural expressiveness, as well as the advanced requirements of modern living: Galaxy, with its more distinctive and precise design. Bubble, designed by the eclectic hand of designer Stefano Giovannoni, is the perfect balance between the lightness of an air bubble and the essential, discreet style of a functional furnishing accessory.
Among the new arrivals for 2011, Cologne will also see the presentation of some models that are based on a completely new design concept, related to the architecture of space in the kitchen, brilliant design concepts which are currently prototypes. This is Seagull, designed by Fabrizio Crisà and the Elica Design Center, the downdraft hood for kitchen bases that masterfully combines traditional features and innovation of the extraction system. The latter, in fact, does not immediately reveal its identity because, concealed by a modern aerodynamic shape, only the light compartment and the controls are visible. Wizard, on the other hand, is a pioneering technopolymer moulded cone, to be installed on the ceiling, which extends closer to the stove to perform its traditional extraction role and, when at rest, lights and decorates the kitchen.
In Cologne, the excellence and quality of Elica, the world leader, will be expressed through these new products, confirming the design, technological and environmental factors that once again allow the company to provide a strong dynamism to the market.
