How does Snap manage to purify the air without using any kind of filter?

Snap is able to guarantee complete air exchange, thanks to its sensors that continuously detect air quality, humidity, and temperature, by removing air from the living spaces where it is installed, thanks to the aspiration power of its motor.

How does Snap guarantee that there is no heat loss during aspiration?

As far as thermal comfort is concerned, it is important to know that Snap goes into reception phase from the first time it is switched on, and at any moment. In other words, it “learns” about your environment through continuous measurements carried out by its sensors (air quality, humidity, and temperature). In this way, it is able to determine an “ideal situation”, which represents its reference standard and how to optimize air aspiration according to all of the parameters as well as the measured indoor air temperature, thus reducing energy waste.

Is Snap certified for the Apple Homekit protocol?

No, currently Snap is not certified for this type of protocol.

Can the App manage more than one Snap at the same time?

The App can simultaneously manage up to 10 Snaps.
Furthermore, thanks to the option “create group”, the App can control more than one Snap at the same time, in order to enable or disable the same feature on all of the devices.
A green or red checkmark will advise you if the Snaps, in the Group, are working in sync according to your commands, or if one of the Snaps has left the group because another user is controlling it, or due to some anomaly.
We remind you that this feature can only be enabled through the App. In any case, we suggest you to carry out a preliminary test on the number of simultaneous connections that your Wi-Fi network is able to support.

Is it possible to install Snap on glass?

Snap has been designed for wall installation, and it is currently not possible to install it on glass.

How long is the power cord used for installation?

The supplied cord is 2mt long and is connected to the electricity grid through a Schuko socket.

Is Snap equipped with an automatic closing device, in order to prevent air from entering from the outside, when it is on Standby mode?

Yes, Snap is equipped with a non-return valve that is there to prevent outside air from entering. We remind you, that during installation you must remove the labels found on the blades of the fan, in order for it to work properly.

Is it possible to vertically install Snap on the wall behind the hob in place of a cooker hood?

Snap is not a hood and it cannot be used as such: it is an aspiration system, which thanks to its sensors, starts working in the case of air pollution and excess cooking vapors, thus becoming a very valid support for the hood itself. It is for this reason, that Snap should not be installed close to the hob, but at least 1,5 mt away from it.

Is it possible to install Snap on the ceiling?

Snap can be installed on the ceiling, but please take into account that if it is installed on internal piping, it may lose some of its efficiency. For example, on a 10 meter piping, there can be up to a maximum of a 30% loss of efficiency.

Is it possible to install Snap in the shower stall or on the ceiling over it?

Snap can be installed on the ceiling, but not in the shower stall as spraying water may compromises proper functioning.

Is it possible to install Snap on a hole that is larger than 120mm in diameter?

Installing Snap on a larger hole, up to 160mm diameter, does not create any problems in terms of functioning. If possible, we recommend you to use a pipe fitting on Snap’s outlet, in order to directly connect it to the outside through a 120mm pipe (positioned inside the 160mm hole), in such a way as to optimize outgoing airflow from the motor.
In any case, positioning the dowels fixing holes requires a more accurate installation, as it should be done in order to perfectly center the 120 mm conveyor center distance with the one of the available hole.

Is it possible to install Snap on a hole that is smaller than 120mm in diameter?

Reducing the diameter of the outlet hole from 120mm to 100mm is possible, but not recommended. Even though Snap can monitor and suck air when necessary, this type of installation reduces Snap’s performance in terms of power and will probably make it noisier.

Is it possible to use the ventilation hole already present in homes to install Snap?

The ventilation hole (where air enters a room) must not be used or obstructed by any kind of object or device, because it is needed to allow for proper room ventilation depending on installed appliances (gas/methane burners, and similar appliances ), therefore it cannot be used to install SNAP; ventilation holes are usually positioned near the floor, but sometimes they are also higher up; but if there are no other ventilation holes in the room, this hole shall not be obstructed.
On the other hand, other additional holes (to let air out) found in the room, can be used to install SNAP.

What role does the temperature sensor play? How does it work?

The temperature sensor detects temperature and ‘transforms’ it in a useful parameter of the operation, and therefore of the aspiration algorithm, in order to reduce the heat loss towards the outside.

What role does the humidity sensor play? How does it work?

The humidity sensor controls excess humidity produced by cooking vapors or other activities. It starts the motor in order to reduce the presence of bacteria and mold, which may occur in very humid environments.
The user does not have the possibility of setting its thresholds. Thresholds are factory-set to allow Snap to start operation immediately. Nonetheless, it is important to know that Snap goes into reception phase from the first time that it is activated, and at any moment. It “learns” about the environment, where it is installed, through continuous measurements carried out by its sensors, and continuously redefines the operation thresholds and algorithms of all the parameters, thus ensuring calibrated operation based on the specific needs of that specific environment.
