Elica Range Hood Ducts: How to Choose Diameter and Length
Do you have an Elica range hood and need to connect it to the air outlet on the wall? The right duct depends on two things: the diameter of your hood's outlet and the length of the run to the external opening.
Ø150 mm or Ø125 mm
Original Elica ducting for cooker hoods is available in two ranges:
Premium range, sections 220x90 mm and Ø150 mm: for high-capacity cooker hoods with large diameter outlets. Maximum efficiency, minimum noise.
Standard range, sections 150x70 mm and Ø125 mm: the most common choice for wall-mounted, island and built-in cooker hoods.
Whenever possible, choose Ø150 mm. More air, less noise.

Do you have a NikolaTesla Suit S Collection cooktop and need to choose how to install it? The cooktop works in two modes: ducted if your kitchen has an external air outlet, recirculating if it doesn't. Kits are sold separately.
Do you have an air outlet on the wall? Install in ducted mode
This is the highest-performance configuration, with intensive airflow up to 620 m3/h and the lowest noise level. The first 90-degree bend is already included in the cooktop box. Suit S Collection cooktops have the air outlet on the right side: if the duct run requires a central outlet, use the Suit S Central Outlet Kit before connecting the accessory ducts.

No air outlet on the wall? Install in recirculating mode
The extractor hob filters the air internally and reintroduces clean air into the kitchen. Choose the configuration based on your cabinet.
Minimum cabinet height required for all recirculation configurations: 6 cm.

NikolaTesla Evo Collection Installation Kit: ducted or recirculating
NikolaTesla ONE HP EVO (PRF0196322), NikolaTesla UNPLUGGED EVO (PRF0213327, PRF0213328). The same kits apply to NikolaTesla UNPLUGGED EVO, SWITCH GLOW EVO, SWITCH EVO, ONE EVO, LIBRA EVO and FLAME EVO.
Do you have a NikolaTesla Evo Collection cooktop and need to choose the installation mode? Same logic as the Suit S Collection: ducted if you have an air outlet, recirculating if you don't. Evo Collection recirculating kits already include the EVO grease and odour filter - no need to buy it separately.

Intensive airflow up to 620 m3/h, minimal noise. The EVO Central Outlet Kit is used when the duct run requires specific management of the air outlet.

LHOV is Elica's flagship cooktop. It installs integrated into the kitchen worktop and requires two choices: first the front profile, then the air management mode. Both accessories are sold separately.
First choice: the LHOV front profile
The front profile adapts LHOV to your worktop thickness. Choose the type based on how you want the cooktop to integrate visually, and the thickness based on your worktop measurement.

LHOV can exhaust directly through the back or channel the fumes passing under the plinth or under the floor to an external outlet point, ensuring high performance and minimal noise.

How do I know which NikolaTesla cooktop I have?
Check the PRF code on the label inside the product, on the underside or the back of the cooktop. With the PRF code you can search directly on the Elica shop for all accessories compatible with your specific model.
Are the NikolaTesla Suit S Collection kits compatible with the previous FIT range?
No. The Suit S Collection kits, from KIT0210770 to KIT0210897, are specific to this range and are not interchangeable with those of the previous generation, KIT0167756, KIT0167757 and KIT0180522.
What is the difference between the Plinth In, Plinth Out and Back Outlet recirculating kits?
Plinth In: filtered air exits the plinth towards the inside of the kitchen. The quietest and most discreet solution. Plinth Out: air exits frontally outside the plinth through a visible fitting. Back Outlet: air is channelled to the rear of the cooktop. Three components, quick installation.
How often does the NikolaTesla cooktop filter need replacing?
NikolaTesla Suit S Collection: the Odour Shield filter must be replaced every 6/12 months. Alternatively the HP regenerable ceramic filter regenerates in the oven every 6 months and lasts up to 3 years. NikolaTesla Evo Collection: the EVO filter is regenerable for up to 3 years.
What is the difference between the On Top, Filo Top and Free Top profiles for LHOV?
On Top: the profile overlaps slightly onto the kitchen worktop, no routing needed, available from 10 mm thickness. Filo Top: the profile is perfectly flush with the worktop, requires front routing, available from 16 mm. Free Top: one size for any thickness from 10 to 50 mm, leaves the worktop edge visible, ideal for non-standard worktops or unusual shapes.
Can I install the NikolaTesla cooktop or LHOV without an air outlet in the wall?
Yes. All NikolaTesla and LHOV models support recirculating mode, which does not require an external air outlet. You need to purchase the specific recirculating kit for your model. The only requirement is that the plinth has a minimum height of 6 cm.
How many bends can I include in the ducts for a range hood?
The recommended maximum is 2 bends, for a total maximum length of 6 metres. Each additional bend reduces airflow and increases hood noise.
