NikolaTesla suction or filter: how to choose

NikolaTesla suction or filter: how to choose article detail

NikolaTesla extractor or filter: two ways of experiencing the kitchen

NikolaTesla installs in two configurations. One takes cooking vapors out of the kitchen. The other purifies them and returns clean air directly into the environment. The end result is the same: a kitchen without odors, with a worktop that disappears into the top. The choice depends on how your kitchen is structured.

Suction: the air comes out, the performance remains at its maximum

With the extraction configuration, NikolaTesla channels the vapors outwards through the pipes that pass under the cabinet. It is the configuration with the highest flow rate and the lowest noise. No odor filters to replace over time.

•       Intensive flow rate up to 620 m3/h — NikolaTesla Suit S Collection.

•      Noise level 42-69 dB(A) — NikolaTesla Suit S Collection.

•       Zero maintenance on the odor filter.

•      Great route flexibility thanks to the original Elica accessory pipes.

Filtering: the air is purified and returned. Without compromises

With the filter configuration, NikolaTesla filters cooking vapors internally and reintroduces clean air into the kitchen. There is no need to change the structure of the furniture. Just choose how you want the filtered air to come out of the clog.

Minimum plinth height: 6 cm for all filter configurations.

Plinth In: invisible. The air comes out in the socket in a diffuse way

The filtered air is conveyed inside the plinth and exits silently through the vent opening, finished with the chrome profile included in the kit. The most discreet configuration: integrated, silent, invisible.

Plinth Out: neat. The air exits from the front from the plinth

The filtered air is conveyed out of the plinth with an external connection and chrome finishing profile. The right configuration when the furniture structure requires a front exit.

Frequently asked questions

Can I switch from the filtering to the suction configuration after installation?

Yes. The two configurations are not definitive. If in the future you want to switch to extraction mode, purchase the accessory pipes and convert the installation without structural interventions on the surface.

Is the performance of the filtering configuration inferior to the suction one?

In the filtering configuration the flow rate of the NikolaTesla Suit S Collection is 580 m3/h compared to the 620 m3/h of the extractor, with a slightly higher noise level. For home use the performance is excellent in both configurations.

Is the Suit S Collection kit compatible with the previous FIT range?

No. The Suit S Collection kits are not compatible with the previous FIT generation. Use your plan's PRF code to find the correct kit.

How often is the HP ceramic filter regenerated?

Every 2/3 months in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 45 minutes. Do not place it on the bottom of the oven: use it on a baking tray at an intermediate height. With regular regenerations it lasts up to 5 years.
